Article 1

Collection of Personal Data

In its relationship with the User, it necessary for the Company to process the User’s personal data on its own behalf: this processing applies to (i) data communicated to it by the User following the completion and transmission of a data collection form available on the Site and (ii) data subsequently communicated by the User during his/her various exchanges with the Company.

This information allows the User is to obtain information about services offered by the Company.

By clicking on the “send” button when transmitting the data collection form to the Company, the User consents to the processing described in this legal notice.
The Company will not process personal data other than those described in this legal notice without the User’s prior express consent.

Article 2

Purposes of Processing

The processing of personal data collected by the Company is carried out for the following purposes:

  • to respond to the User’s requests for information;
  • to conduct operations related to its business relationship with the User (e.g. responding to the User’s requests for quotes);
  • to monitor “customer relations” activities, including satisfaction surveys and complaint management operations;
  • to propose partner offers to the User, according to his/her choices, provided that the User has expressly agreed to this;
  • to select Users to carry out studies, surveys and/or product tests;
  • to carry out commercial solicitation activities;
  • to develop business statistics;
  • to organise contests, lotteries and promotional operations;
  • to manage requests to exercise the rights listed in Article 3 below.

Your Rights

3.1         RIGHT OF ACCESS, RECTIFICATION, PORTABILITY, DELETION AND OPPOSITION

In accordance with the French law of 6 January 1978, as amended, on Information Technology, Data Files and Civil Liberties (i.e. “Act No. 78-17”) and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, (the “GDPR”), the User has the right to access, rectify, delete, request the portability of, request the limitation of, oppose or withdraw consent to the processing of his or her personal data.

These rights may be exercised at any time, by writing to the Company at: privacy@biolog-id.com .

The User may file a complaint with the competent control authority at any time.

 

3.2        DIRECTIVES FOR THE STORAGE, DELETION AND COMMUNICATION OF DATA AFTER THE USER’S DEATH

Any User has the right to define directives for the storage, deletion and communication of his/her personal data after death.

Any User may thus decide to designate a third party, who may then be granted access to data communicated to the Company.

Should the User wish to designate a third party for this purpose, he/she may do so by sending an email, including his/her name, surname and email address to: privacy@biolog-id.com .

If the User has not provided any directives concerning the fate of his/her personal data subsequent to his/her death, the User’s heirs may request information from the Company that would prove useful for the liquidation and distribution of the estate. They may do so by writing to the following address: privacy@biolog-id.com .

After the User’s death, his/her heirs may also request an end to the processing of the deceased’s personal data.

Article 4       Data Retention

Personal data collected in connection with the User’s request for information pertaining to Company services (e.g. surname, first name(s), email address) is retained for a period of three (3) years from the date of collection.

Audience measurement statistics are retained for thirteen (13) months or less.

In the event of litigation, all information, documents and other materials containing the User’s personal data and intended to help clarify disputed facts may be kept for the duration of the proceedings, even if this means retaining them beyond the time periods specified above.

Certain data may be archived beyond the time periods specified for the purposes of researching, establishing and prosecuting criminal offences. This is solely done to make such data available to the judicial authorities, as required.

Archived data is anonymised and is not accessible online. It must, however, be retrievable and stored on an autonomous and secure medium.

Article 5       Data Recipients

Personal data collected and processed by the Company are strictly confidential.

The Company may temporarily and securely transfer some of the User’s personal data to third parties when necessary:

  • for Site operation and maintenance (e.g. the site host);
  • in order to respond to an injunction from the legal authorities.

When said third party is located outside the European Union, or in a country that does not have adequate regulations within the meaning of the GDPR, the Company frames its contractual relationship with the third party by adopting an appropriate contractual arrangement.

Your personal data, particularly e-mail addresses, are not subject to any rental, sale, exchange or sharing vis-à-vis other service providers unless you have expressly agreed to receive promotional offers from other companies that may be of interest to you.

Cookies

The Company also uses web analytics cookies to better understand the behaviour of its Users. These tools collect information and generate reports on Site usage statistics without individual users necessarily being personally identified by the third party providing the cookie (e.g. Google).

In addition to generating reports on Site usage statistics, these audience analysis cookies also make it possible—in association with certain other advertising cookies (placed by third party sites and/or content when the User accesses it)—to display more relevant advertisements on the Web.

Article 7       Statistical Use of Anonymous Data

In the course of its business, the Company collects, processes and stores statistical data related to Site use and User activity.

Such usage data, which may be transmitted to third parties, is anonymous and does not in any way identify Internet users (not even indirectly).

Biolog-id records information collected in this manner in a computerised file. This allows you to obtain information about the services and products we offer. It also enables us to improve www.biolog-animal.com service quality and keep you up to date on the latest news.

Personal data collected in this manner are only transmitted to authorised persons in the Biolog-id sales and communication department.

Biolog-id will retain (i) your personal data, in connection with a request for information about our services and products, for a period of (3) years from the date of their collection and (ii) audience measurement statistics, as well as your raw site visit data, for a maximum period of thirteen (13) months (except in cases where the law requires a longer retention period).

You may exercise your right to access, rectify, delete, request the portability of, request the limitation of, oppose or withdraw consent to the processing of your personal data, and/or define directives concerning the fate of your personal data after death, by writing to Biolog-id at privacy@biolog-id.com .
